How does the Link Bot work?

CreatorIQ Link Bot 1.0 (+https://creatoriq.cc/bots)

When a user of the CreatorIQ platform provides a link to a product or webpage they plan to promote, the CreatorIQ Link Bot responds by fetching the page to extract meta tags about the content, such as the page’s title and description tags. This feature aids creators and users in quickly identifying the associated product or content of a link.

Each time a link is added, it is accessed only once by the bot to fetch the required information, ensuring efficiency and minimal intrusion.

We do not currently honor robots.txt files. A significant portion of the internet is inaccessible to crawlers, which would cause a negative experience for our users. Because we do not follow links and act on behalf of a human, we do not process robots.txt files as if we were a crawler.

If you would like to request that your site be blocked from the CreatorIQ Link Bot anyways, please contact us.
